The reality you know

Booking.com takes 18%.Direct bookings save that margin. But Google decides whether they find you at all.

Your OTA margin isn't getting bigger. Direct reservations are the difference — and direct reservations happen when guests find you on Google and see a 4.7, not a 4.2.

Your staff deliver first-class service moments — but no one asks for a review. Because no one sees a personal upside in it.

Trophy provides the intrinsic motivation staff need. Recognition, appreciation, status, and rewards. And suddenly they ask.

Trophy turns every shift into measurable contribution — and every service moment into a review.

Four touchpoints, one system

Every shift.Every moment.

Hotels have more guest contact than restaurants. Trophy uses that — to your advantage.

  • 01

    Reception

NFC tablet at the checkout desk. Present during guest departure — the review is attributed to the receptionist instantly.

  • 02

    Breakfast crew

Stewards get their own NFC tags on the apron. Used during espresso service or table clearing — the underrated review moment.

  • 03

    Concierge

Own card in the uniform. During checkout or city recommendations, a high-value review moment that otherwise goes unused.

  • 04

    Housekeeping

QR card with «A bed, made by Anna». Optional — but powerful. Makes the invisible shift visible and measurable.

Local Maps pack

Top 3

of local search captures around 50% of all clicks — that's where your team places you.

We deliberately focus on Google — Booking and Expedia are closed systems. That's where the decision between «book direct» and «go via the OTA» is made — and exactly where you win your margin back.

The mechanic proof

8 → 158 reviews.In 5 months.

Pizzeria Napule is a restaurant — but the mechanic is the same. Service team with unique NFC attribution, team motivation on display, AI replies in the background.

In hotels, the mechanic scales with touchpoint count. Three shifts × five staff = 15 NFC codes = 15× the chance of a review per day.

Frequently asked · hotels

What hoteliers want to know before booking.

  • How many NFC tags do we need with 4 shifts and 15 staff?

One tag per active staff member — with 15 staff, that's 15 personal tags, regardless of how many shifts you run. The initial run and quarterly updates (new hires, replacements) are included in every Trophy package. Alternatively you can choose shift tags that get passed on at shift change — fewer tags, but coarser attribution: you'll see which shift earned the review, not which person. For team motivation we recommend personal tags, because streaks, ranks, and personal bests only work with unambiguous attribution — from the breakfast team to reception to housekeeping.

  • We have 3 properties in Valais, Ticino, Engadin. Can we book different packages per property?

Yes. Each property books its own package — for example Googles Top 3 (CHF 490/month) for the smaller house and Markt Dominanz (CHF 1490/month) for the flagship. The multi-location discount applies to the total: 10% from 2 properties, 20% from 6. You also get a cross-property group dashboard showing review growth, average rating, and team activity for all houses side by side — so you see at a glance which property is performing and where to look. Each property keeps its own team ranking at the same time, so motivation stays local.

  • Does it work in multiple languages — German, French, Italian, English?

Yes, fully. Your guests write reviews in their language — German, French, Italian, English, or any other — and the AI replies automatically in the same language, in your house's tone of voice. For Swiss hotels this is essential: a property in Valais receives reviews in French and German, a Ticino house in Italian, plus international guests in English. The staff and owner interface is available in German and English. 5-star reviews are answered automatically; 1–2-star reviews are prepared as drafts for your approval — in every language.

  • Does Trophy also cover Booking.com, Expedia, or TripAdvisor?

No — we deliberately focus on Google, for a strategic reason: Google is where the decision between direct booking and OTA booking is made. Someone googling your hotel is one click away from your website instead of from 15–25% Booking commission. Booking and Expedia are closed ecosystems: reviews there can only come from guests who booked through the platform, so no external tool can accelerate them by design. A strong Google profile (review count, average, frequency, and answered reviews) is the most effective lever to route searchers past the OTAs and directly to you.

  • What about GDPR / Swiss DSG for staff statistics?

Trophy is built for the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG, in force since September 2023) and is GDPR-compatible; servers are located in the EU/Switzerland. Staff statistics follow a clear role model: an individual's numbers are visible only to the owner and to that person themselves — colleagues see rankings, but not each other's detailed statistics. The group dashboard only receives anonymized or aggregated values. When a staff member leaves, their personal data is deleted within 30 days; the reviews themselves remain with the business.

  • Does Trophy make sense for a strictly seasonal hotel?

Honestly — only to a degree. Local Google ranking lives on a continuous stream of new reviews; pausing for six months drops you back in the ranking and cancels out most of Trophy's leverage. For purely seasonal hotels we walk through it case by case in the demo. For year-round properties with seasonal swings (city hotels, wellness resorts), Trophy is ideal.
