The federal government, in partnership with digitalswitzerland, BAKOM, and Accenture, has officially launched the AI Action Plan for Switzerland. This initiative aims to align public and private efforts into a cohesive agenda to secure our nation's competitiveness in the global AI landscape. This isn't a theoretical exercise; the first concrete measures are expected as early as the first quarter of 2026.

The process began with high-level discussions, including those at the digitalswitzerland Forum in Bern with Federal Councillor Albert Rösti, signaling strong political commitment. Now, it's opening up. A public consultation kicked off on December 1, 2025, inviting broad feedback from business, science, and civil society to shape the plan's direction.
